Today was a great day! Robby, Katie, Abby & I went to the pool , it was so much fun, they had all kids of games and prizes, we had a blast! They had 3-leg race, tug o war, water balloon toss, wheelbarrow races and swimming games too! They did a coin toss in the pool and let the kids dive for the coins and then of course the "biggest" splash and best tricks off the diving boards. After heading home we decided to cookout with friends and neighbors in the "court". The kids enjoyed the sparklers and fireworks provided by our neighbors and surrounding neighborhoods, we didn't even have to leave the "court". We love living on the corner of a culdesac, the kids are always outside playing and riding their scooters, bikes, jeeps, etc... in the "court". We have great neighbors and have had so much fun hanging out there over the years! The parents all hang out and chat while the kiddos play. We have Easter egg hunts, cook-outs, picnics, and all sorts of get togethers in the "court". What happens in the "court" stays in the "court"!
During our visit to TN last week we had a surprise dinner with Rob's family to celebrate his 40th birthday and his mom's 60th birthday. It was fun to get together with family and just enjoy each other. In the pictures are Robby, Judy(Rob's mom), Truman(Rob's dad), Jay (Rob's brother), Carter (our nephew) and of course Katie and Abby. Somehow Mary (my sister in law) and I were not in any of the pictures...lucky us! 
Katie swam in her first swim meet last night. She was 1st place in her HEAT for freestyle, she received the "SPEEDING TICKET" and was so excited. She placed 9th out of 21 swimmers. I am so proud of her! I'm not sure if she was more excited about swimming or getting to write on herself with a Sharpie. All the kids write their heat information on them as well as some smack talk, like "Eat my bubbles"! She thought that was so cool, so even though I wasn't happy about having Sharpie all over my daughter's back, my dear friend Kelly convinced me to let her do it! Mama needs to lighten up, huh!?
The last week or so Abby has been talking about riding her bike without training wheels. While we were out playing tonight she brought it up again, so we took them off and she got it! She has such determination and is very independant, she just said let's do it and took off. After about 15 minutes she was riding in the culdesac all by herself in circles, wow! Another milestone...check! Way to go Abby, I am so proud of you!!!!
